1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how YoursTruly (“we”, “us”), based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, processes personal data when you use the YoursTruly app and the website at yours-truly.io.

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Dutch privacy law.

2. Data controller

YoursTruly is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. Contact: support@yours-truly.io.

3. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:

• Account and identity data: email address, Apple/Google identifiers, display name, username
• Profile and preference data: interests, sizes, occasion dates, people and connection notes you choose to store
• Usage data: product views, searches, recommendations interactions, device and app diagnostics
• Communications: support messages and transactional emails
• Website data: technical logs, language preference cookies, and (if enabled) analytics or affiliate attribution cookies

4. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data to provide and improve the Service, personalize product browse and search for selected recipients, enable social and group features, authenticate you, send service communications, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases include performance of a contract (providing the Service you request), legitimate interests (security, product improvement, affiliate attribution), consent where required (certain cookies or optional communications), and legal obligation.

5. Sharing

We use processors such as hosting, authentication, analytics, email, and infrastructure providers who process data on our instructions. When you follow an affiliate link, the partner retailer receives information necessary for the purchase and attribution under their own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.

6. International transfers

If data is transferred outside the EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision where applicable.

7. Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for backups, disputes, and legal compliance. You may request deletion; some records may be retained where we have a legal obligation or legitimate need (e.g. fraud prevention).

To exercise these rights, use in-app settings where available or email support@yours-truly.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or your local supervisory authority.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 without parental authority where required. Adult product categories may be restricted based on age settings in the app.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date on this page will change when we do. Significant changes may also be communicated in-app or by email where appropriate.
